It actually lets you toy with certain people's lives which we can call as 'sims'. So, i just had this crazy idea of making my own version of Death Note in this kind of game. It turned out to be hilarious than i was expecting it to be. Well, let's just see for ourselves if it's worth the fun.

CHAPTER 1: God of the New World

Our story begins at the simple, yet serious-looking, household of the Yagami Family. From there, a bright shining star was given birth. A prodigy in the making. The most brilliant sim the whole game series had ever known. That sim is none other than Yagami Light, the sole person who invented the word 'genius'.

It all started one day after Light went home from sim school. It is clearly noticeable that he was holding something. A notebook like figure, which gave Light a certain uncertainty, that he must keep looking at it from time to time. That notebook, gentlemen, is a tome of inconceivable power. The Death Note.

'The human whose name is written in this note shall die'. Here, we can see Light carefully understanding the rules of the Death Note beside a random nigger sim. Hmmm.. the ability to kill by just a flicker of a pen. Sugoi..

Evening came and... wtf is this!!?? Some sort of treachery! It seems that the random nigger sim is spraying graffiti in front of the Yagami household. Such devilish act spells only one word. C-R-I-M-I-N-A-L

Now Light, do what must be done! Use your sophisticatedly high charisma to get this sim's name.

o_0 ... My my.. look at Light's eyes... (Kira-sama???)

*insert Death Note BGM here* >:D SAKUJO!!!!!!!!!

Ricky Coullier, death by heart attack. (wtf?? Shinigami??)

And ever since that day, Light decided that he will cleanse SimCity from the dirtiest crooks at the streets to the highly influential mafia lords. All shall have order. All shall have peace...

so says the God of the New World..

What does it mean to be strong?

Hajime no Ippo, is a boxing anime created by Morikawa Joji and licensed by Kodansha in the Weekly Shonen Magazine. It tells the story of a young high school student, named Ippo Makunouchi, who never had the time to make friends because he was always busy helping his mother with the family boat business. Moreover, he got this wimpy-like character in school who kissed everybody’s ass. Because of that image in school, Ippo habitually gets beaten up by bullies who call him names and curse his mother. On one particular day these bullies decided to give him a rather serious beating, but a middle-weight professional boxer who was passing by stopped the bullies and took the injured Ippo to the Kamogawa Gym. After the incident, Ippo, wanting to find out what it means to be strong, joins the gym and began his path in Japan’s professional boxing. And all throughout the series, step by step, he learns more about life and the trials he had to face to get to the end of this Champion Road.

The life and story of Ippo Makunouchi is very much alike my own except that I’m physically weak and I don’t like boxing that much. But in a sense, we are completely the same, If you think about it really good. When I was elementary, I get beaten up by kids too. They used to drive me at the wall and that’s where they do their dirty work. I really hate it when they do that, come to think of it, I hated it more when I don’t fight back. I do not want to fight back because it’s not reasonable even if I really want to hit them back hard. If I fight back, they will also punch back, then I’ll punch back again, and the process will just continue until one of us runs out of stamina. And in the end, we’ll just hurt ourselves. I just assumed that maybe their parents beat them up, and so they beat me up to find out how it feels doing that. I still have grudges against them, but in my thoughts, I guess today they are suffering more than me. They’re probably out in the streets with their gangs doping on drugs. Just like Ippo, I want to find out what it means to be strong. Today, I’m still searching for the answer; I’m still learning more about life today.

It was not just Ippo’s story that resembles my own. It was the story of all the characters, well, most of them. Although it wasn’t discreetly shown, the series focused heavily on character development, even during the matches something is learned about the fighters; their childhood, current experiences and their dreams. One more thing I find interesting about this anime, is the display of willpower and passion. It shows that persistence can take you a long, long way. Just like my own beliefs, that passion is a sacred thing in this world. With passion, you gain strength; and that strength is what you will use to all the troubles ahead. You see, I am the type of person who does not believe in Talent. I question its existence. You don’t excel in things in just a snap. You excel because of your hard work, your persistence, your passion. I believe that with all of that, you are on your way of becoming what you want. There is no need for talent anymore. Willpower is what molds it, just as it was shown in the anime. Ippo did not inherit strength and speed, he started off with nothing. It was exercise, practice and road work that developed his boxing skills. He was driven by his passion; his love for boxing and his persistence on knowing what it means to be strong. See that? A single interrogative statement can make you powerful and phenomenal.

It’s just like me. Every time I get interested in a thing, I do well with it; I wanted to be good at it. And with just that, it triggers my passion.

Hajime no Ippo is not just an anime with people punching their faces while sweating half-naked in a ring. It is wholly about passion. It is about determination and the ends that it can take you to. Morikawa Joji truly made a great anime; and I appreciate it purely. It was not like any other lollapalooza show, it was like a poem, carved magnificently to produce a beautiful song.

Free Donuts

It’s plainly my fault why I entered the Logicom Workshop half an hour late and I almost didn’t make it because the guard won’t let me in. It was a really bad day and I’m progressing to critical depression. Even though, I still need to go there for there might be something interesting going on and I can’t afford to miss something like that.

So there, I went to the room where the Logistics Committee Workshop is taking place. To my surprise, there are a lot of people inside and the main purpose of the workshop was almost over. The Logicom members are now proceeding to the interactive part of the event which is also my favorite part. It was done so that the applicants will get acquainted with the proper places to hold this or that occasion. It also teaches the applicants the right route or direction for easier access of the place needed. Basically, it’s a game, where you squeeze your brains and point pictures of places; it was pretty funny if you would look at it in a different kind of way.

After that, they introduced their special guest to us. An Alumni of the organization, Mr. Benjamin Gonzales Jr., the Socio-Civics Committee head from before(Logistics Committee was previously known as Socio-Civics Committee). He was a really interesting man, other than the fact that he was a successful guy, he also has this great way of thinking. You know, he developed a method which can persuade a person to let him/her agree with what you want to happen. It’s like Psychology or some sort. Anyway, it was cool, he was like Jesus, and we’re his disciples, and we’re like waiting for him to make a thousand bread or something. Yeah, all eyes was on him, and I have to credit him too because he got this good voice projection. Well, after he gave his advice and teachings, he demonstrated to us how team work can be a key to make a successful push in a form of game. I have to tell you that those games were great. I mean, absolutely great, they were a bit crazy but it’s really fun to do it. I wish there’ll be more time for those games because it really rocks. I don’t care if I lost, as long as I play the game, its fine with me. Well, the whole point of it is that if you work nicely as a team, you’re sure to get things done quick and proper which is naturally true.

What I like about this workshop is that the labor of the whole event was efficiently divided among the Logicom members. You won’t find just one member hugging all the stage light. It’s very cohesive if you would look at it which is pretty nice. Speaking of nice, this is my most favorite part of the workshop, the free food. Yeah, they gave away donuts. Sweet and savory donuts sprinkled with all kinds of confectionary doodles with tasty colloidal cream inside. There, all the kindness in the world put in a little box just for us to eat and partake; satisfying all urges or desires to eat anything else. It’s like cooking master boy baked these things for us to be our dessert. That was the coolest part of the Logicom Workshop, the delicious donuts, and they are all free. Wow, God blessed my poor soul.
